The Autism Wellbeing Project are excited to share their December Newsletter with you.
This month, they're shining a light on two key training opportunities. First, their new Pay Per Place options for both Tier 1 webinars and Tier 2 face-to-face Oliver McGowan training make it easier for organisations to book individual staff onto upcoming sessions without arranging a full group. You’ll find all the details inside the newsletter.

Autism Futures - Halton
The Autism Wellbeing Project has received funding to deliver a short term programme called Autism Futures. This project is for autistic young people (diagnosed or not) aged 18 to 21 in Halton who are not currently in education, employment or training.
Help Support Grieving Men and Boys Fundraiser - Halton
Three times as many men die by suicide each year compared to women, with suicide being the biggest cause of death in men under the age of 50. Research has highlighted bereavement is a significant contributing factor in both suicide of men and children and young people. Calm Your Mind – Halton's local male mental health campaign is raising money to upskill professionals and volunteers to be able to support bereaved men and boys will help to contribute to a reduction in suicides in Halton.

Nyki Benson (Health Improvement Practitioner – Mental Health) from the Halton Health Improvement Team has sent over the latest training dates for local organisations and businesses.
New Dementia Friendly Shared Reading Groups at Halton Libraries
At Shared Reading groups, people connect and share experiences using stories and poems. There is no pressure to talk or read aloud.
These free groups areopen to all but particularly welcome people living with dementia, their carers, family and friends.
The groups meet in Halton Libraries:
Halton Lea Library, meet once a fortnight on Tuesday 2pm from 9th December
Widnes Library will meet once a fortnight on Wednesday at 2pm starting from 28th JanuaryCreamfields Community Grant Launched
As a result of Creamfields taking place in Halton, the organisers have established the Creamfields Community Fund. This is for Halton community groups and organisations to apply for grants of up to £750. The grants can be put towards projects, events and/or initiatives taking place in Halton.
