COVID-19 Response Recognition Award -Halton and St Helens Voluntary and Community Action with Team Kinetic – St Helens Together Volunteer Portal
This award recognises the response and recovery to the unprecedented challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, making a difference to the lives of people adversely affected by COVID-19 pandemic and/or the extent to which old, established ways of working have been challenged to build back better.
We would also like to congratulate St Helens Borough Council on their win in the Transforming & Innovating Public Services category for their St Helens WoW (Ways of Working) Programme
This award is to celebrate excellence in the transformation of public services. It recognises teams and organisations that have successfully implemented change for people and places. Submissions demonstrated evidence of improved outcomes through innovative citizen focused solutions in the areas of data, technology and/or culture change.
(COVID-19) Coronavirus restrictions: what you can and cannot do
29 March: What’s changed
Some of the rules on what you can and cannot do changed on 29 March. However, many restrictions remain in place. You must not socialise indoors with anyone you do not live with or have formed a support bubble with. You should continue to work from home if you can and minimise the number of journeys you make where possible. You should get a test and follow the stay at home guidance if you have COVID-19 symptoms.
Public Health England - Covid Vaccination Programme
The biggest vaccination programme in the history of the NHS has now started. A huge thank you to everyone who has worked tirelessly to make the COVID-19 vaccine happen. Click here to find out how Public Health England wil prioritise people to receive the vaccine. Your GP will contact you when it is your turn for the vaccine.

Trustee Vacancies at Halton and St Helens VCA

COVID-19 INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE FOR VOLUNTARY GROUPS AND ORGANISATIONS / NEW AND EXISTING VOLUNTEERS IN THE HALTON AND ST HELENS AREA
As we move into the next phase of the Covid 19 crisis we will be updating groups with helpful guidance to help you manage the transitions.
Due to lockdown we will be resuming the Coronavirus / COVID - 19 update for the VCSE Organisations this will be on an ad hoc basis so that we can share any important information with the sector as necessary. We are still waiting to hear about the updated Government guidance on how volunteering can be done safely in line with the national lockdown restrictions as soon as it is published we will keep you informed.
