  • Bene Merenti Award Pauline Ruth

     

    Pauline Ruth who runs Trinity Safe Spaces and has been heavily involved in the welcoming of asylum seekers and refugees and and alsop pivotal with the faith network has been awarded the Bene Merenti medal by His Holiness, Pope Francis. This award is a ’Gold Medal’ for ‘Exemplary Christian Service’.

    Pauline does so much to safeguard our community and we know her work with refugees and migrants is at the heart of her Christian vocation of service.

  • Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) - Free Training

     

    The Halton Health Improvement Team have shared details of some free fully funded training available for anyone working with children and young people in Halton. This training is accredited with the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH).

    Details of the course are below. There are places available on the dates listed, but they can also arrange training for groups of 10 or more, also free of charge when working with CYP.

    You are probably all aware that there is a significant shortage of suitable accommodation for people in Halton which is negatively impacting on newly granted refugees (as well as local people).

    One of the possible solutions could be Refugees at Home so I have made contact with their CEO with the result that they have sent me the attached information for us to publicise as widely as possible. Hopefully, some people will come forward as a result of reading it.
