In October Halton and St Helens VCA will be launching a Training and Networking E-Newsletter. We will be using this platform to share the VCA training offer, highlight our networking events, and promote the training available through our partners and external organisations.

Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) - Free Training
The Halton Health Improvement Team have shared details of some free fully funded training available for anyone working with children and young people in Halton. This training is accredited with the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH).
Details of the course are below. There are places available on the dates listed, but they can also arrange training for groups of 10 or more, also free of charge when working with CYP.
Cancer Education Station Network Days
Halton & St Helens VCA and Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Alliance have come together to offer you a chance to network with others, raise awareness of the fabulous work your organisation does, whilst gathering cancer information and resources to take back and share with your service users.
We are holding 2 meetings one at our Widnes office on Wednesday 27th September, 10 am till 12 noon and one at St Helens Town Hall on Thursday 12th October 10 am till 1pm. Lunch will be provided at both events. To book your place, please see the links below:
New Suicide Awareness Training To Support Autistic People
Autistic people have an increased risk of experiencing suicidal ideation or dying by suicide than those who do not have neurodivergences.
This training, when developed will help to raise awareness about this important subject.
Free Training For People In A Caring Role In St Helens
We have some great news for anyone who is providing informal or formal care for someone, either as a volunteer or for a family member or friend. Would you like to access free online training, on an easy to use app or online? There are over 125 topics for you to choose from, to improve your skills, CV and confidence.

As part of Volunteers week from the 1st -7th June St Helens Adult & Community learning are running free mental health awareness workshops, first aid awareness both paediatric and adult and 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work qualifications (normally £110).
