Parr Community Fund
We would love to let you know about the upcoming community grant scheme as part of the Cradle to Career programme for Parr.
The fund's aim is to give residents the opportunity, funding and support to bring one of their ideas to life. Any resident of Parr can apply for a grant of up to £2000 to improve theirs and their neighbours community. Support will be given to applicants from local organisations and successful projects will be chosen by a panel of local residents.

Chain Lane Community Centre has the following spaces for hire:
The Meeting Room has movable tables and chairs and can seat 20 people. There is a TV and a whiteboard and access to a full kitchen.
Cost: £12 per hour

Listen 4 Change events - Spring and Summer Term 2025
Listen 4 Change is the name of the St Helens Parent Carer Forum. They are a group of volunteer parent carers who work with the Local Authority, NHS Integrated Care Board, education, health and other service providers to make sure the services that they plan and deliver meet the needs of children and young people with SEND and their families.
Youth Fed Multiply Course
Youth Fed are offering free, one-day courses called Multiply for St Helens based residents aged 19+.
Learners will gain a basic understanding of finance from reading a bank statement to understanding how tax works.
Learners will be able to identify the different financial elements involved in moving away from home.
They will learn to create their own personal household budget
Free Animation Club Coming To St Helens
A free animation club for young people in St Helens . Participants will take part in a variety of animation activities.

Cervical Cancer Awareness Month - St Helens
January is cervical cancer awareness month and St Helens Public Health team would like to take this opportunity to promote a free cervical screening service coming to community locations within the borough.
Following a successful pilot in Sefton, a mobile clinic will be available in the form of a bus for people to be able to have their cervical screening appointments. It is hoped that this removes barriers for women and makes screening appointments more accessible.
