Local Charities CEO Celebrates 25 years’ Service With Apex Trust – St Helens
A milestone was reached on the 7th June 2024 for Apex Charitable Trust’s, Kim Hughes BCAv – CEO
Kim started with the charity as a volunteer in 1998 and an employee from June 1999 and progressed to CEO in 2015. Celebrations took place at their office base on North Road, St Helens which is also home to their community coffee shop – Plan Bee, where the Mayor was in attendance along with Dr Ruth Hussey CB, OBE, DL - Deputy Lieutenant for Merseyside.
Wonder In the Street - St Helens
Wonder Arts would like to invite you to "Wonder In the Street"; a free event for families coming to Church Square, St Helens on Saturday 22nd June.
The local charity is delighted to present a whole day of eco-themed shows and crafts that will capture the imagination of the whole family and inspire all ages to live wonderfully green.

For Refugee Week, Focus Employment Hub are giving away a FREE Session into podcasting. Where you can go along and learn how to produce a podcast, gain skills and learn from each other. The trainer, Tom who is a journalist has many years of experience producing podcasts and is happy to assist you.

St Helens Pride is set to return for a vibrant celebration of love, diversity and equality on Saturday, June 8. The family-friendly event is free to attend and promises an array of activities ranging from entertainment and craft sessions to educational market stalls.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIY - Youth Empowerment Scheme (St Helens)
The scheme, delivered by the Community Foundation for Merseyside (CFM) in partnership with the Police and Crime Commissioner for Merseyside (PCC) and the Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership (MVRP), is targeted at community projects that offer diversionary activities- particular those that include arts, culture and sports to support young people aged under 25 years who may be more vulnerable to experiencing violence and at risk of anti-social behaviour.
Interventions/programmes delivered must fall into one of the following types:

What is a Partnership Board?
A Partnership Board brings together different partners involved in the delivery of services for people over 55 and those with experience of using services. The purpose of the board is to strengthen joint working arrangements between organisations and to provide a forum where users of services can share their views and experiences so that they can be taken into consideration when local services and plans are being developed.
Who attends the Partnership Board?Building Foundations (Activity and Wellbeing) - Saints Community Development Foundation
Building Foundations is a welcoming group that looks to support people to become more active and have some refreshments after.

The Youth Justice Service in St Helens are looking to recruit a number of volunteers to support their work with young people.
