Police Commissioner launches £50,000 Youth Diversion Fund for projects over autumn half term
Community groups which will offer safe and engaging activities for young people are being invited to bid for grants for projects running during the autumn half-term, thanks to Merseyside’s Police Commissioner.
Applications Reopen For Community Action Fund
Police and Crime Commissioner John Dwyer’s Community Action Fund has reopened, with money available for projects across Cheshire that will prevent and tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. The application window is now open from 1 September – 30 November 2022.
The fund makes £100,000 available for projects which benefit their local community by working towards improving the safety of individuals in the area.

Adult Cycle Training – Commissioning Brief for the Community Suppliers List
The Liverpool City Region Combine Authority (LCRCA) has secured some funding to deliver adult cycle training to certain community groups identified by the Liverpool City Region Active Travel Forum and from research carried out across the city region.
The LCRCA is now seeking suitable suppliers from the Merseytravrl Community Suppliers list to deliver adult cycle training to the groups identified below.
Improving Communities Awareness Of Cancer VCSE Small Grants Programme
As part of the Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Alliance CVS Partnership, partners have secured funding to further develop and enhance the work of grass roots voluntary and community groups on improving communities awareness of cancer, early signs & symptoms and screening uptakes across the sub-region. The funding will support very local activity to support communities to engage and be supported with concerns of cancer, early symptoms and cancer screening uptakes.
