Winter Coat Project Comes to Widnes Market – Donate Your Pre-Loved Coats

Help keep our community warm this winter!

The Halton & St Helens VCA Winter Coat Project is coming to Widnes Market with two special pop-up donation events, giving local people an easy opportunity to donate good-quality, pre-loved winter coats.

We’ll be at Widnes Market on Wednesday 7 October and Wednesday 28 October, from 10am to 3pm, where you can drop off coats and find out more about the Winter Coat Project.

In brief, the session focused on the One Neighbourhood Programme’s early work in the North Neighbourhood, including emerging priorities around health inequalities, community voice, youth provision, safety, and practical hardship. Community Rail Partnership connects communities along the Liverpool–Manchester railway

A new chapter is underway for one of the North West’s most historic railway routes, with the Liverpool to Manchester Community Rail Partnership (CRP) officially becoming a member of the Community Rail Network.

Supported by Manchester Histories and its partners, the partnership aims to strengthen connections between communities and railway stations along the route, while celebrating the area’s rich industrial and cultural heritage.

Town in the Town CIC is appealing to local residents for donations of unwanted football boots to help more people take part in their free football sessions in St Helens.

For some people, not having the right kit can be a barrier to getting involved. Your old, pre-loved football boots could make a real difference by helping someone take part, build confidence, stay active and connect with their community.

A range of free personal development courses are available for eligible residents aged 19+ living within the Liverpool City Region or Greater Manchester Combined Authority area.

Whether you are looking to develop your leadership skills, gain a recognised qualification, improve your confidence, or learn something new, there are plenty of opportunities available.
