New Community Support Activities Launch at Vees Place

 

Vees Place Community Support Centre in Prescot is launching a new weekly programme of inclusive activities for local residents from November 2025.

Based at the Church Building on Kemble Street, the centre will host a Dementia Friendly Group at 1pm on Mondays, a Parkinson Friendly Group at 12pm on Tuesdays, Therapeutic Drumming at 10.30am on Wednesdays, Youth Drama at 6pm on Thursdays and Chair Yoga at 12.30pm on Fridays.

Fortuna Female Society Launches Women's Safety Survey 2026

Fortuna Female Society is encouraging women and girls across Halton to take part in its Women's Safety Survey 2026, helping to ensure their voices are heard on issues that matter most to them.

The survey takes just a few minutes to complete and provides an important opportunity for local women and girls to share their experiences, concerns and views on safety within the borough. The findings will help inform discussions with local decision makers and contribute to shaping future conversations and actions aimed at improving safety for women and girls in Halton.

Neuro Natters Support Groups Welcome New Members

 

People living with neurological conditions, their families and carers are invited to join Neuro Natters' friendly and supportive peer support groups, held every Monday and Thursday.

The groups provide a welcoming space where people can connect with others who understand the challenges of living with a neurological condition, share experiences, access peer support and build lasting friendships. Whether you're looking for advice, encouragement or simply a chance to meet new people in a relaxed environment, Neuro Natters offers a place where everyone is welcome.
