St Helens VCFSE - Mental Health Alliance & Marketplace Event
Calling all voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises operating in St Helens, come and join us at our 3rd Marketplace event that showcases the many voluntary and community organisations delivering mental wellbeing services.

St Helens Directory of Community Food Provision UPDATED
Through the St Helens Borough Community Food Providers Allaince we have many local community organisations working together delivering food projects across the Borough.
Recognising more and more people in our communities are facing financial hardship, we are constantly looking at how we can work together as community organisations, charities and the public sector to ensure there is access to affordable and nutritious food for EVERYONE. Here is a summary of our extensive community food provision.
FUNDING OPPORTUNITIY - Youth Empowerment Scheme (St Helens)
The scheme, delivered by the Community Foundation for Merseyside (CFM) in partnership with the Police and Crime Commissioner for Merseyside (PCC) and the Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership (MVRP), is targeted at community projects that offer diversionary activities- particular those that include arts, culture and sports to support young people aged under 25 years who may be more vulnerable to experiencing violence and at risk of anti-social behaviour.
Interventions/programmes delivered must fall into one of the following types:

St Helens Community Lottery - Launch Event
Halton & St Helens VCA and our partners at Gatherwell are excited to invite you along to our next VCFSE forum on Monday 25th March at the Living Well where we will be launching the ST HELENS COMMUNITY LOTTERY – for local good causes. Charities, community organisations, social business and community groups of all shapes and sizes are being encouraged to attend the launch event of the ST HELENS COMMUNITY LOTTERY – for local good causes for their chance to get a slice of the ticket proceeds.
FUNDING - SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY AND/OR AUTISM
DEADLINE 16th FEBRUARY 2024 -
The aims of this funding are to improve the emotional and mental wellbeing of children and young people with a learning disability and/or autism and support reducing their risk of issues such as:
· Challenging behaviour
· Escalations to mental health crisis
· Breakdowns at home / placements
· Hospital attendances and admissions
· School isolations / exclusions and non-attendance due to emotional wellbeing issue

Ward Member Grant Scheme - St Helens
What is the Ward Member Grant Scheme?
The Scheme provides a fund for St Helens Councillors to propose and support grant applications on behalf of eligible voluntary or community groups as a contribution towards activities or projects that improve and benefit community wellbeing in line with the Council’s Borough Strategy 2021-2030.
Inclusive Football Sessions - St Helens
Enjoy Football are running weekly inclusive football sessions focusing on mental health and recovery.
If you are in St Helens and district, in recovery from addiction, suffering from mental ill health, new to the area or anything else and you would like to start to be a bit mote active, you would be very welcome to join in for an hour's football.
Their award winning sessions are fully inclusive and non judgmental.
Menopause Meet Up - Chrysalis Centre
Menopause Meetup at Chrysalis, held monthly from 6:30 to 8 pm.
Location: 1st Floor, The Beacon Building, 25 College Street, St Helens WA10 1TF.
