We are absolutely delighted to share the incredible success of the 2024 VCFSE Conference: What’s The Story – Tackling Health Inequalities in St Helens. Thanks to the passion, insights, and energy of everyone involved, the event was a truly inspiring and impactful day for all.
What Our Delegates Had to Say...
The feedback we received from delegates was overwhelmingly positive, and we're thrilled to see how valuable the experience was for those who attended. Here’s just a snapshot of what they had to say:
“I really enjoyed the workshops and the opportunity to speak to others and listen to lived experiences the most.”
“The session on communication processes and the brief exploration of the theory of change was incredibly timely as we embark on our long-term strategy. It was very useful.”
Powerful Insights, Shared Experiences
Throughout the day, we were joined by experts and partners who shared their knowledge and experiences in tackling health inequalities. What stood out most for many delegates was the opportunity to hear firsthand accounts from individuals who have experienced inequality in their own lives. These stories were not only moving but a stark reminder of why we need to keep working together to drive real change.
We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to Apex Charitable Trust, Homestart St Helens, and The Deafness Resource Centre for helping us create such a meaningful event. While Darren from the Deafness Resource Centre couldn’t be with us in person, we were still able to share his powerful story with the group. You can watch it here:
A Special Thank You to Rose Minshall from the Innovation Unit - We were also joined by Rose Minshall from the Innovation Unit, who facilitated some fantastic workshops and provided invaluable insights into how we can collectively make a difference in tackling health inequalities. Here’s what Rose had to say after the event:
“What a fantastic group of leaders you have in St Helens. It’s clear to see how strong the relationships are here, and that’s something really special.”
