Halton Family Fund - Applications Open
Halton Family Hubs support children and young people from birth until they reach the age of 19 (or up to 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities).
Since February 2024, they have been working with parents to find out what supports their wellbeing during pregnancy and through the perinatal period and now they want to fund projects and ideas that create more of the good stuff!

Fully-funded Supporting Bereaved Men and Boys Awareness Training
As part of Men’s Health Week, 10th to16th June, Child Bereavement UK are delivering fully-funded training to those who live or work in Halton exploring how male grief can appear and the stereo types around men and grief.
The three-hour course is free, taking place on Friday 14th June and is available to those living or working in Halton who would benefit from this training.

Come and join us at our recruitment events across Halton and St Helens – we’re getting out and about in to our communities and we want you to come with us to tell local people about the great work you do and the fantastic ways they can support you as a volunteer. Halton 50 Festival - June 8 & 9 2024
Halton Borough Council are this year putting on a 2 day event to celebrate Haltons Golden Jubilee year . The Halton 50 Festival and will be in collaboration with The Great British Food Festival, and will take place at Runcorn Hill Park on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June, between 10am – 5pm both days.
There will be FREE public admission including FREE Parking at the SOG offices opposite the playing fields. Some of the activities on offer will include:

HeadzUp Halton - Young People's Drop In
A young people’s drop in is informal and for children and young people aged 17 and under and their families or carers.
The hubs are in the community and are supported by staff who can provide support and advice.
Drop by every Tuesday from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at The Hub, Grangeway, Runcorn, WA7 5HA
And, starting 6 June 2024, every Thursday from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at Warrington Road Childrens Centre, Widnes, WA8 0BS

Sleep Awareness Training
Halton Health Improvement Team are running a sleep awareness course on the 4th of June at Widnes Library, Victoria Square from 9:30 till11:30am.
This session looks at why sleep is important, the stages of sleep, barriers to and benefits of a good night’s sleep, the relationship between sleep and diet, how sleep affects our health, sleep hygiene and routine.
