Free Adult Learning Opportunities – Spread the Word!

Free courses from St Helens Adults and Community Learning

Free adult learning opportunities - all available this spring! These free workshops and courses are designed to help individuals develop new skills, enhance their prospects, and explore personal interests. This is a great opportunity for the people you support to gain valuable knowledge and connect with new learning experiences.

Some of the courses & workshops are now recruiting:

Maths Courses (Entry 3 to Level 2) - Classes start in April. Introduction to English (Non-Accredited) - Starts 22nd April on Tuesday afternoons (10 weeks). Ideal for those looking to build confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening before progressing to an accredited course.

Entry Level 3 Award in Caring for Children - Starts on Wednesdays in April. Information session at Park Road Learning Centre, St Helens on Monday, 31st March at 1pm, with the course beginning 23rd April.

Working with Children Workshop - Taking place at Park Road Centre on 19th May, this session is perfect for anyone interested in a career in childcare. There will be plenty of opportunities to learn about different childcare roles and to receive guidance on taking the first steps toward working in the sector.

1-day First Aid course on Monday, April 14th, and Tuesday, April 15th. This course is perfect volunteers or members of community groups and charities working in low-risk environments. We also have a limited number of places for those about to start volunteering. Places can also be booked via the link: LOCAL Leaders First Aid
