  • Ladies Football Taster Sessions - St.Helens

    Other Venue: Cowley International College 6th Form Sports Hall

    Wednesday for 6 weeks, starts Thursday 5th February 8pm- 9pm | Cost: Free

    Town in the Town CIC is facilitating FREE women's football sessions for 6 weeks. This is for any female over the age of 16 who would like to enjoy football with a trained, experienced female coach. This is for all women aged 16+ and of any footballing ability.

    The sessions will be held in the Sports Hall at Cowley International College, off Hard Lane, St.Helens. Parking is on King Edward Road, then a footpath to the sports Hall. (Gamble Avenue entrance) Or via Hard Lane on foot at the 6th Form College entrance. You can email towninthetown2025@gmail.com for a map.

  • Ladies Friendship Group

    Last Tuesday of month 2pm-3.30pm | Cost: Free

    For women who want to meet other women for friendship, outings and activities. Some of the activities participants do together include, trips to the cinema, speed dating sessions, singing for pleasure, and upcycling projects.

  • Ladies lounge

    Saturdays 2:30-4:30pm | Cost: Free

    At the ladies lounge we try to cover a different topic every week to improve your mental health and boost your mood, including hands on activities for you to enjoy. We’ve been running for the last 3 year with funding from the national lottery.
    We even have podcasts from our sessions from over lockdown. - Broken mind and growing confidence.

    Come and join us take some time out for you, we always have a laugh and if you need to talk we are also peer to peer trained.

    It’s all free funded by the national lottery community fund.
    The group is facilitated by Claire who has worked in mental health services for 19 years and has real life lived experienced.

  • LADIES WELL-BEING GROUP (AGES 50 +)

    Every FRIDAY from 10:30am to 12:30pm | Cost: Free

    Local community group gathering for women aged fifty and over. The group is for local residents to call in and have a friendly chat, as well as find out about local activities and services. Drop in on your own or with a friend and have a cuppa. Refreshments available.

  • Lego Club

    Every Thursday at Halton Lea Library 3.30 – 5.00pm | Cost: Free

    For children to get creative with Lego. Free, drop in sessions.

  • Let’s Go Stroke Club

    Second Wednesday of the month 2.00pm - 4.00pm | Cost: Paid

    A mutual support, self help club for people who have suffered a stroke and their carers. Minimal fees to cover cost of monthly activities and outings.

  • LGBTQ+ Suicide Bereavement Support Group

    Meeting (virtually) The last Monday of the month 7pm - 9pm | Cost: Free

    SoBS is very pleased to announce that it is opening a new group to support members of the LGBTQ+ community who have been bereaved by suicide,

    SpeakOUT is a free & confidential online peersupport group for anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+ who has lost a loved one to suicide. They will also support the loved ones of an LGBTQ+ person who has died by suicide.
