    The theme for 2024 is "Our Home". As in previous years, the St Helens Refugee Resettlement Service and its partners within and outside the council will be looking to celebrate the week with a range of events and activities.

  • Cafe Laziz Film Night @ The Lucem

     

    Cafe Laziz are really excited about inviting you to this event - not one, but two fantastic films based on Asylum Seekers living in former mining communities on Saturday 16th Mar 2024 18:30, at Lucem House Community Cinema Plus+.

    The Old Oak (15) by Ken Loach is described as being 'a film with genuine heart and hope' and their own Abdulrhmaan Hassona's film based on Cafe Laziz, their volunteers and their work is exactly that too, but here, in our own town of St Helens.

    They will be providing a delicious buffet and please feel free to BYOB.
