Saints Building Foundations Programme - Mental Health and Physical Activity

 

Saints Community Development Foundation are running a ‘Building Foundations’ Programme with St Helens Public Health Team.

‘Building Foundations’ is a programme that is looking to improve mental and physical health, through light exercise and group camaraderie. The programme is for both Men and Women, however, will be run in separate sessions running at the same time. The exercise side of the programme won’t be getting people to run a marathon at the end but will hopefully be able more comfortable to pull their socks up. The programme Is mainly aimed at Adults in St Helens who are struggling with their mental and physical health. They are not running intervention but are running sessions to help build a toolbox of skills that help manage their mental and physical health better.

 The first Cohort for ‘Building Foundations’ will start Monday 29th January. This will be a 18:00 start and will last for 90 minutes. This will be broken down into 45 minutes of exercise and 45 minutes of talk.

The programme will run in 7-week cohorts, Once the first cohort finishes their will be another starting. The referral cut off for the first cohort will be after the 3rd week of delivery. After this, any referrals will be booked onto the second cohort.
