Free Training Sessions For Adults (18+) - Support Men’s Mental Health With Free Training From The Halton Health Improvement Team

 

The Halton Health Improvement Team are pleased to share a range of free training and awareness sessions designed to improve understanding of men’s mental health and wellbeing. These sessions are open to adults aged 18+ who live or work in Halton and are relevant for carers, community members, and professionals who support others.

 

Calm Your Mind – Male Mental Health Campaign

Lunch & Learn Session 30mins via teams (short and impactful)

Suicide remains the leading cause of death in men under 50, with men three times more likely to die by suicide than women. Calm Your Mind is a local campaign, designed with men, for men, to improve mental wellbeing and help prevent suicide.

This Lunch & Learn session will help you to:

  • Understand what the Calm Your Mind campaign offers
  • Learn how to use the campaign resources
  • Explore ways to support the men in your life—whether family members, friends, colleagues, or those you care for

This session is ideal for carers, health and social care professionals, community workers, and anyone who wants to make a positive difference to men’s lives.

 

Men’s Mental Health: Understanding What Impacts It

Free Online Training – 2 Hours

This in-depth online session is part of the Calm Your Mind campaign and provides practical knowledge and tools to support men’s mental wellbeing.

The training covers:

  • Key factors that affect men’s mental health
  • Common and positive coping strategies
  • Barriers men may face when seeking help
  • How men communicate and how best to support them

 

With men significantly more likely to die by suicide than women, this session aims to raise awareness and equip attendees with the confidence and understanding to offer meaningful support.

All sessions are free to attend.
