Child Exploitation Awareness Training

Following on from their pledge on National CE Awareness Day 18th March, Halton Safeguarding Team are delighted to announce some sessions being delivered this month (May) on Child Exploitation Awareness.

Child Exploitation is a type of abuse. When a child or young person is exploited they’re groomed by being given things, like gifts, drugs, money, status and affection. This is usually in exchange for carrying out a criminal activity, known as Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) or performing sexual activities, known as Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).

The course objectives are:

  • To have an understanding of what CE is
  • To know what the CE picture is in Halton
  • To understand how children and young people are targeted/groomed
  • To recognise some of the signs & indicators of CE
  • To know how to respond in Halton with a CE concern

These Face to Face sessions will be delivered on:

18th May 13:30-16:00 Halton Stadium WA8 7DZ

Or

24th May 15:30-18:00 Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy WA76EP
