  • Deaf Social Club

    Every Wednesday 12pm-2pm | Cost: Free

    This group brings together culturally Deaf and deaf blind people whose preferred language is British Sign Language. The group meets on Wednesday afternoon and enjoys pre-arranged activities and information events on a variety of topics, for example alcohol awareness, cancer awareness and benefit information. Trips and activities take place throughout the year.

  • Dementia Cafe

    Second Thursday of month 12pm to 1.30pm | Cost: Free

    Lunch, social and music for people living with dementia and thier carers and family members. Free to attend but attendees have to pay for any food or drink they consume from the cafe at the site.

  • Dementia Cafe - Monthly

    The sessions are usually held on the first Sunday of each month at 3pm | Cost: Free

    Our Dementia Café is held every month in the café at Catalyst Science Discovery Centre
    and Museum.
    The session offers attendees and their carers a place to socialize with someone who
    understands, in a relaxed and interesting setting.
    The sessions are usually held on the first Sunday of each month at 3pm.
    (Please note: January’s session will be held on Sunday 8th January).
    No need to book—this is a drop in session.

    Accessibility – Newton Community Centre is set all on one level with a ramp leading up to the front door. We have a accessible toilet right next to reception and a new wheelchair friendly Community Garden for all to enjoy.

    An opportunity to meet other carers who also provide care to a loved one with dementia, swap ideas, get support, advice and build a support network. Drop in, no need to book.

  • Dementia Friendly Coffee & Chat St Helens

    Wednesdays 10am-12pm | Cost: Paid

    Every Wednesday for a coffee, tea, and chat. For people aged 50+ living with dementia and their carers who want a safe space to socialise and meet new people. £2.50 per session.
