The Duck Hunt team are running a community event across the whole of August.
The event is in 2 distinct parts:-
Part 1 - The Duck Trail - 40 ducks placed around the town and people follow the trail to discover all of the duck's names.
- Each duck is sponsored and hosted around the town. Everyone is encouraged to find the names of the ducks
- This part is from 1st to 30th August
- Map is available from the Facebook and Instagram channels to download / on Googlemaps.
Part 2 - the Live Duck Hunt and Duck Festival - 10 large Glitter ducks will be hidden within 0.5 miles of our festival for people to actually find, pick up and bring back to us at the Victoria Park here the seeker will be rewarded with a prize. The Festival side will be stalls, games, teddy bear's picnic and live music alongside the prize giving. There will also be a prize draw for those that went out duck hunting and gathering names. 30th August 10-4 - Victoria Park, Widnes
The whole aim of the event is to provide some community fun for all whilst raising money for community defibrillators, the duck sponsorship is the main aspect of this fundraising so we can make the other activities affordable for families to take part in. The games will be 50p per go or 5 for £2.
The team are using 50 ducks for their 50th Birthday's to buy defibrillator #50.
