Age Well is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support its work with people aged 55 and over across Halton.
Whether you enjoy spending time with others, helping people develop new skills, or supporting community events, there are a variety of rewarding opportunities available for local residents who would like to give something back to their community.
The programme is currently recruiting volunteers for the following roles:
Community Befriender
Help reduce loneliness and social isolation by providing companionship and support to older people in the community.
Digital Buddy
Support older residents to build confidence using digital technology, helping them stay connected, access services, and make the most of online opportunities.
Event Helper
Assist with community activities, events, and wellbeing sessions that help older people stay active, engaged, and connected.
Age Well provides training and ongoing support for all volunteers, ensuring you have the skills and confidence needed to succeed in your role. A DBS check will be required for successful applicants.
The volunteering opportunities offer a fantastic way to meet new people, develop skills, gain experience, and make a positive impact on the lives of older residents across Halton.
Residents interested in volunteering can find out more through the Halton Borough Council website, by scanning the QR code on the promotional poster, or by contacting the Age Well team directly.
For further information, email Age.well@halton.gov.uk.
If you have a few hours to spare and want to make a real difference in your local community, Age Well would love to hear from you.
