There’s a warm welcome to join Chain Lane Community Centre on Wednesday 7th May from 12.30 – 3.30pm for a special event to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day.
Organised by The Friends of Chain Lane Park, Daisy Chain Over 55s Social Group (it’s their 7th Birthday too) and Chain Lane Community Centre, the event includes refreshments, delicious cakes (including some war-time surprises!), raffle, tombola, war-time quiz, prize bingo and a special talk on war-time St. Helens by Claire from Momos.
They’ll be having pre-Loved items for sale and the local Barnardo’s shop will be running a ‘Lucky Dip’ stall too.
If you can’t join them s for the whole event, please feel free to just pop in for this special anniversary event.
