Age UK Mid Mersey have been awarded funding from the Community Foundation for Merseyside to host a conference exploring the often-hidden experiences of older victim/survivors of domestic abuse. As well as increasing awareness of these invisible live, the event seeks to explore ways in which St Helens can work together to better identify, support and protect older victim/survivors.

This conference aims to equip delegates with the knowledge to effectively identify, respond to and support older individuals who are experiencing domestic abuse.
Together delegates will explore:
- How Domestic Abuse manifests in older households
- The scale and scope of domestic abuse in Later Life
- The myths and stereotypes that prevail and increase risk for older victim/survivors
- Learning from Domestic Homicide Reviews and Safeguarding Adult Reviews
- The services and support that is available in St Helens
- How we can collaboratively strengthen the local offer to older victim/survivors in St Helens

There will also be an opportunity to showcase or learn more about local sources of support via a lunchtime "Marketplace"
