Safer St Helens Small Grants Programme
Safer St Helens has approved funding to deliver programmes and interventions in the local VCSE sector, that assist in the delivery of the overall aims of our partnership, keeping people safe in St Helens.
Halton and St Helens VCA is a core member of Safer St Helens, and has been allocated £25,000 to fund local projects that can directly assist in the delivery of projects to make St Helens Safer. The six priority areas for delivery are:
- Tackling location specific anti-social behaviour issues
- Tackling serious violence, including violence towards women and girls
- Projects designed to educate and challenge domestic abuse in our Borough
- Funding to support Home Watch Scheme development
- Projects to promote crime prevention to prevent burglary and theft offences
- Projects to support the work in addressing ketamine use
Grants available are for a maximum of £2,000 for each project / organisation.
In addition to the direct funding available, the VCA will be strengthening the Community of Practice that will bring local organisations together to share best practice and to look at ways in which we can work together to make a real difference in our communities.
Groups who are applying for funding must be willing to commit to working together as part of the Community of Practice.
Please complete the form and submit it to smather@haltonsthelensvca.org.uk no later than Friday 26th April 2024.
