Listen 4 Change is the name of the St Helens Parent Carer Forum. They are a group of volunteer parent carers who work with the Local Authority, NHS Integrated Care Board, education, health and other service providers to make sure the services that they plan and deliver meet the needs of children and young people with SEND and their families.
They currently have a series of monthly Coffee Mornings and Coffee Evenings planned throughout the coming months for parent carers to meet in a relaxed setting and help to improve local services. More information can be found at the following link:

Listen for change have also arranged Social Care Training for parent carers which will cover disabled children’s needs assessments, parent carer and young carer assessments; care and support planning; eligibility criteria and the Local Offer; Short breaks, personal assistants, direct payments and personal budgets; transitions into adulthood duties and social care law reform.
The session will be delivered by Professor Luke Clements, Cerebra Professor of Law and Social Justice, and will be held on Wednesday 26th February 2025 from 9:15 am – 2:30 pm.
The venue is the Wonderland Community Centre, Reflection Court, Canal Street, St Helens WA10 3JQ.
