LCR Photography Awards 2023 – Enter Now!
Launched by Open Eye Gallery with the support of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, the competition celebrates the talent and creativity of photography enthusiasts from across Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.
Residents have until 9 January 2023 to enter any of the eight categories in the competition:
Eurovision Cultural Commissions
In 2023, Liverpool will host the Eurovision Song Contest. The event should be taking place in Ukraine, but the ongoing full-scale invasion of the country means the UK will host the competition instead. As such, this will bring together three distinct cultures - Ukraine, UK and Eurovision - and present them on an extraordinary stage - the city of Liverpool.
This provides a unique creative opportunity.
Multiply Community Grants Programme
WEA is launching its Multiply Community Grants programme for 2022/23 through a contract with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority for organisations with residents of Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.
LCR Culture & Creativity Awards - Final Week To Nominate
The Liverpool City Region Culture & Creativity Awards recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution that culture and creativity make to our city region. Established in 2019 as part of the Metro Mayor’s commitment to culture, the awards are now in their fourth year.
Liverpool City Region Equality Panels
The LCR Equality Panels have been established to advise, support and challenge Liverpool City Region’s political leaders and policymakers to tackle the discrimination and disadvantage that cause injustice and inequality in society. The Equality Panel offers an opportunity to join with others to be a strong voice to influence decision making on key issues.

£2 bus fares across Liverpool City Region
Mayor Steve Rotheram has announced that bus passengers will soon be able to travel across the Liverpool City Region for no more than £2 per journey in a bid to help residents save money during the cost of living crisis.
By 18th September adult single fares on all services will cost a maximum of £2, making it cheaper for passengers to travel across the region.
The cost of a MyTicket, which allows young people under the age of 19 to benefit from all day unlimited travel on the region’s bus network, will also remain frozen at £2.20 until 2025.
Adult Cycle Training – Commissioning Brief for the Community Suppliers List
The Liverpool City Region Combine Authority (LCRCA) has secured some funding to deliver adult cycle training to certain community groups identified by the Liverpool City Region Active Travel Forum and from research carried out across the city region.
The LCRCA is now seeking suitable suppliers from the Merseytravrl Community Suppliers list to deliver adult cycle training to the groups identified below.
