Halton & St Helens Voluntary Community Action are looking for 2 new staff members to join our team: a Social Action Lead for St Helens and a Capacity Building Co-ordinator working across Halton and St Helens.

Social Action Lead - St Helens
14 hours a week - £ 10,417 per annum
This role will support our work with Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Alliance. With full training and support, you will be expected to support and advise VCSE groups in St Helens to deliver engagement and activities to raise awareness of cancer in targeted communities and to encourage early detection and diagnosis of cancer. You will also be involved in helping to build and maintain a bank of good practice guides and tools designed to support organisations. We are not necessarily looking for an experienced development worker. We are looking for someone who cares about the voluntary sector and supporting people and who is conscientious, passionate, has a positive attitude and is ready to learn.
Capacity Building Co-ordinator
18 hours a week – £ 12,821 per annum
As the Capacity Building Co-ordinator, you’ll drive impactful learning experiences for the voluntary and community sector across Halton & St Helens. Your role includes coordinating learning opportunities to enhance VCFSE capabilities, collaborating with voluntary organisations to identify strengths and gaps, creating flexible learning programs, recruiting participants through newsletters, social media, and videos, and ensuring quality assurance by tracking progress and measuring impact.
