Community Rail Partnership connects communities along the Liverpool–Manchester railway
A new chapter is underway for one of the North West’s most historic railway routes, with the Liverpool to Manchester Community Rail Partnership (CRP) officially becoming a member of the Community Rail Network.
Supported by Manchester Histories and its partners, the partnership aims to strengthen connections between communities and railway stations along the route, while celebrating the area’s rich industrial and cultural heritage.
The CRP will work with communities across the railway corridor to:

The programme has been funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of Halton’s Borough of Culture year in 2021 and the showcase is being run as part of the national Heritage Open Days programme.
