Healthwatch St Helens
Healthwatch St Helens are currently undertaking a survey of young people’s experiences of mental health services.
They want to hear the experiences of young people when accessing mental health services.
This will help providers to know what they’re doing well and what needs to improve.
Healthwatch St Helens are looking for a new team member to support engagement and communication work with local people, patients and partners.

Healthwatch is investigating the issues that the Deaf community in Knowsley, St Helens and Sefton are experiencing with Hospital access. They particularly wish to know if hospital appointments have been disrupted or lost due to communication issues for deaf people. The survey has a focus on Whiston, St Helens, Aintree, Southport and Ormskirk hospitals but also includes communication difficulty with other health appointments such as with GP’s and dentists.
Healthwatch St Helens would like to hear about your experiences during the cost of living crisis and how it has impacted your health & wellbeing.

Currently, if your doctor thinks you might have cancer they will refer you for urgent investigation at hospital via something called the ‘2 week wait’. Over 90% of people referred this way don’t have cancer, but can spend weeks worrying that they do.
The PinPoint Test is a brand new blood test which makes it possible to let people know their likelihood of having cancer in just 48 hours.
