    The Government has announced that it wants to change the law to:

    1. Transfer the work of Healthwatch England to the Department of Health and Social Care.

    2. Transfer the work of local Healthwatch services to the NHS and local authorities.

     

    What does this mean right now?

    While these changes will happen over time, the law has not yet been changed.

    This means Healthwatch St Helens are still here, open, and working for you.

  • Deaf Community Questionnaire About Hospitals, G.P Services and Dental Services

     

    Healthwatch is investigating the issues that the Deaf community in Knowsley, St Helens and Sefton are experiencing with Hospital access. They particularly wish to know if hospital appointments have been disrupted or lost due to communication issues for deaf people. The survey has a focus on Whiston, St Helens, Aintree, Southport and Ormskirk hospitals but also includes communication difficulty with other health appointments such as with GP’s and dentists.
