The upcoming King’s Trust Team (formerly Prince’s Trust) programme will run from Monday 27th January 2025 and will be held at the Runcorn Fire Station. The current programme is well underway, so now is the time to start looking ahead to the next.
Recruitment is now starting for this fantastic opportunity, they will be meeting young people throughout January to secure their place.
The aims and objectives of the programme are below and what they need now is up to 14 young people aged between 16 – 25 years to come and develop their personal skills on this amazing programme.
The Kings’s Trust Programme is a completely free 12-week self-development course centred on the individual who identifies targets they want to develop.
The programme looks at seven key areas:
- Planning for personal development
- Teamwork
- Community Project
- Work Experience
- Career Planning
- Community Support
- Presentation skills
During these keys stages they set targets on an individual basis, and thry look to develop the identified targets throughout the course. These targets can be short or long, they will be flexible and can change them as you move through the programme.
They undertake practical and in class tasks which include lots of team building, a 3-night residential stay at an activity centre, a community project, work experience, and the all-important ‘Next Steps’ when they will be fully equipped to take on the next part of their journey, which could include feeding back to college or other training/provisions, apprenticeships or straight into employment.
As added extras they have sessions on the current issues that young people face as well as a first aid qualification. No two days are the same. The programme pride itself on making it fun while ensuring each person gets the maximum out of the programme.
If you have any 16–25-year-olds that are not in work or education, who are looking for a new challenge, will benefit from this fabulous opportunity and may wish to attend this Personal Development Programme in January 2025, then please with their permission email their name, address, email address and contact number.
