Community organisations, churches and faith groups across Halton are being invited to take part in a conversation about how local communities can work together to create stronger and more connected neighbourhoods.
The event forms part of the Faith in the City 40th Anniversary Programme taking place across the Liverpool City Region and will bring together community partners from Halton and the wider region.
The 90-minute session will focus on how the priorities outlined in the Manifesto for Hope could be applied at a local level. Organisers say the discussion will provide an opportunity for people involved in community initiatives, churches, faith groups and other local organisations to share their experiences and consider the challenges facing neighbourhoods.
Key themes are expected to include community connection, justice, shared values and the role of local organisations in supporting community life.
Rather than focusing solely on the role of faith organisations, the session will explore the shared responsibility of churches and wider communities in helping neighbourhoods flourish.
Participants will be encouraged to discuss their own experiences, consider the Manifesto for Hope's priorities and identify opportunities for greater collaboration between local organisations.
Organisers say the session will be interactive and designed to provide an environment where different perspectives can be heard.
The event is open to people who lead community initiatives, churches or faith groups, as well as those working locally and interested in strengthening their communities.
Those attending are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the Manifesto for Hope's key themes ahead of the session.
