At the heart of Fuel is a simple belief: when people have a welcoming space to connect, learn, and play, whole communities thrive. We combine a bright, affordable café with two dynamic programme pillars - Community Support and Community Gaming - to create a place where anyone, no matter their age, background, or ability, can find a sense of belonging.
Their programmes rely on the energy, skills, and compassion of volunteers. They’re currently looking for enthusiastic individuals - students, retirees, professionals, or anyone with a love for community building - who can:
- Facilitate workshops or gaming sessions
- Mentor participants in their support groups
- Assist with café operations on a flexible schedule
- Help with event planning, outreach, or admin tasks
In return, volunteers receive:
- Formal training (including Mental Health First Aid)
- Access to the café and events at a discounted rate
- A vibrant community where they can grow personally and professionally
Current Volunteer Roles:
- Front of House/Barista
- Mental Health First Aider (MHFA)
- Kitchen Assistant
