Join Halton Borough Council’s two-day Solihull Approach Foundation Training (valued at £250 per person) absolutely free for staff and volunteers in the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector (VCFS) across Halton.
What is the Solihull Approach?
The Solihull Approach is designed to improve the emotional health and resilience of children and young people by strengthening relationships and supporting connected, responsive interactions. It’s an evidence-based model developed by psychologists and practitioners to help professionals understand behaviour, brain development, and emotional wellbeing in children and families.
What You’ll Learn:
• Brain development from infancy to adolescence
• Understanding behaviour as communication
• Emotional wellbeing & trauma, including Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
• Parent-child relationships
• Practical tools for supporting families
