This engaging 2-hour training session is part of the Calm Your Mind campaign β a local initiative developed by men, for men, to provide practical advice and tools for improving mental wellbeing.
Participants will explore:
- The key issues affecting menβs mental health
- Common coping strategies and positive ways to manage wellbeing
- Barriers that can prevent men from seeking help
- How men communicate and how to effectively support them
With men significantly more likely to die by suicide than women, this training aims to increase understanding, challenge stigma, and equip people with the knowledge and confidence to support men experiencing mental health difficulties.
The session is open to everyone and is suitable for both professionals and members of the community who want to better understand menβs mental health, whether for themselves, their family and friends, or the people they support through their work.
Places are free, but booking is essential.
