Organisations with experience of working with schools, delivering health-related programmes and supporting quality assurance processes are being invited to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to lead the delivery of the Asthma Friendly Schools Programme across Cheshire and Merseyside.
The opportunity, commissioned through Beyond, the Cheshire and Merseyside Children and Young People's Transformation Programme, seeks a lead organisation or partnership to coordinate engagement, training and quality assurance activities that will support more schools to achieve and maintain Asthma Friendly School accreditation.
The contract is valued at up to £30,000 and will run until 31 March 2027. Applications are welcomed from individual organisations as well as partnerships that can demonstrate the skills, experience and capacity required to deliver the programme at scale across Cheshire and Merseyside.
Asthma remains the most common long-term medical condition affecting children and young people. The programme aims to improve asthma awareness, strengthen school policies and procedures, increase participation in approved asthma training and help reduce preventable asthma-related harm.
The successful provider will work with schools throughout the region to increase participation, support the development of Asthma Champions, coordinate training delivery and help schools achieve and maintain Asthma Friendly School status.
EOI submissions should be sent to beyond@alderhey.nhs.uk by 4pm on Wednesday 4 November 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.
