Introduction to Domestic Abuse
Overview: This 2-hour online training session provides you with an introductory overview of domestic abuse. This training is suitable for anyone who has an interest in learning more about what domestic abuse looks like, and how to support victims.
What it covers:
New Domestic Abuse Cafe - Halton
Halton and St Helen's VCA, Fortuna Female Society, and SHAP are launching a new peer support cafe for women affected by domestic abuse at St Maries, Lugsdale Road, Widnes, 1pm - 2pm.
This informal, peer led group is an opportunity for women who have been impacted by domestic abuse to get together to chat and support each other.
This is a free drop in group, booking is not necessary. Free parking and light refreshments are available.
Invitation to the Survivors Forum Relaunch Event
St Helens Council would like to invite you and your service members to attend their Survivors Forum relaunch event.
This event will be attended by various partner agencies, making it a great opportunity for networking and collaboration. If you have any leaflets or promotional materials for your service, please bring them along to share with others.
Domestic Abuse Strategy Consultation - St Helens
St Helens Borough Council, along with partners, recognises that anyone can experience domestic abuse and it is everyone’s responsibility to end it. The council and its partners are committed to ending domestic abuse in St Helens Borough and are asking residents to complete this short survey to help them to understand your views on this issue.
The results of the survey will help form the new domestic abuse strategy for the next 3 years.Domestic Abuse Awareness Course
HCYPSP has worked with the Halton Domestic Abuse Partnership Board and are delighted to announce further online delivery of the Domestic Abuse Awareness course which aims for you to be able to recognise and respond appropriately to Domestic Abuse in order to increase the safety of those who experience DA .
This course will be delivered 09.30-12.30 online through Teams on;
