YMCA St Helens are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, self-driven individual to join the team as a new community and trust fundraiser to plan, develop and implement fundraising opportunities to support YMCA St Helens in its mission to support the most vulnerable.
Training support (working to a recognised qualification in fundraising) will be provided to support someone wanting to take the first step into working as a fundraiser in the charity sector, or for someone seeking to change careers and make a difference.
Full time (35 hours a week) with a salary range offered of £19,000-£20,400 per annum
Essential skills
- High levels of honesty, integrity and discretion with good attention to detail, Organisation and administrative skills
- Good at team working with strong communication & presentation (written & verbal) skills whilst able to work to deadlines
- High level of organisation, planning and time management skills
- Able to work flexibly and productively with minimum supervision
- Passion for supporting charities and ability to pass that passion onto others
- Understanding of social media and ability to use it to engage with people
- Competent in all Microsoft applications – especially word, PowerPoint and excel
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
