Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum in Widnes is excited to announce the launch of a new initiative designed to support residents in their local community.
Throughout the month of June, Catalyst will be introducing a community pricing initiative, offering reduced admission rates for local residents. This offer represents a significant saving on normal admission rates and is open to visitors who can show the Visitor Services Team at Catalyst proof that they live in the WA7 or WA8 postcode areas, such as a driving licence or utility bill.
With this scheme, local families can plan a full day out, making the most of all that Catalyst has to offer including the interactive gallery, fascinating historical information and artefacts from the local area, fantastic views from the 4th floor gallery, free parking, space for families to eat their own packed lunches (inside and out), playgrounds and a free nature trail to follow around neighbouring Spike Island.
On 7th June Catalyst will be partnering with Animal Teach who will be running a drop-in session featuring a range of animals and some craft and nature activities. Families taking advantage of the Community Pricing scheme will be able to access this session free of charge.
CEO of Catalyst, Nikki Burton Mallott said “Catalyst is really proud to be part of Halton and we strive to make our venue as inclusive as possible. We recognise that cost can sometimes be a barrier and we want to do what we can to support our most local community to enjoy what we have to offer. The postcode pricing initiative is part of a range of initiatives we are exploring in the coming year to bolster community connection.”
