We know that many households and families will be struggling to pay their fuel bills this winter and may also be experiencing food poverty and social isolation. Estimates show that 42% of households in St Helens are likely to be impacted by fuel poverty.
Warm Spaces are somewhere people can go to get warm, stay warm and enjoy some company. We want to expand the network of Warm Spaces and to ensure that residents in St Helens are able to access them. St Helens Council has a list of registered Warm Spaces available at this link: https://sthelens.gov.uk/article/7261
If you provide a Warm Space and you are not currently on the register, or if you would like any help or support setting up or running a Warm Space, we would like to hear from you. Please contact Lynn Smith, one of our St Helens Community Connectors on 07956352193 or email LSmith@haltonsthelensvca.org.uk. We would also like to hear from you if you provide any other form of winter support to people in the community.
