Cafe Laziz are really excited about inviting you to this event - not one, but two fantastic films based on Asylum Seekers living in former mining communities on Saturday 16th Mar 2024 18:30, at Lucem House Community Cinema Plus+.
The Old Oak (15) by Ken Loach is described as being 'a film with genuine heart and hope' and their own Abdulrhmaan Hassona's film based on Cafe Laziz, their volunteers and their work is exactly that too, but here, in our own town of St Helens.
They will be providing a delicious buffet and please feel free to BYOB.
They are so happy to be supporting the fantastic Lucem House Community Cinema and can't think of a better suited venue.
They will be having a short Q&A session too to allow you to really understand and to get to know the amazing people from this new, international part of our community.
