The Autism Wellbeing Project has received funding to deliver a short term programme called Autism Futures. This project is for autistic young people (diagnosed or not) aged 18 to 21 in Halton who are not currently in education, employment or training.
Autism Futures offers a choice of free 1 to 1 mentoring, autism affirming therapy, small group life skills sessions and social or creative activities designed to build confidence, reduce anxiety and support progression into volunteering, training or employment pathways.
This programme is funded for a limited period and delivery will end by 31 March. Due to the short time frame, they are aiming to engage and support young people as quickly as possible. Referrals can be made immediately and initial assessments will be arranged promptly.
If you are working with a young person who may benefit from this, please share their expression of interest form or contact them directly for support with making a referral; https://forms.gle/qimNgB89bY7ABrUv9
They welcome referrals from individuals, NHS teams, social care, community organisations and voluntary sector partners.
