We recently sent out a mailing from Trinity Safe Space (see below) however the situation has now deteriorated and people are finding themselves homeless and on the streets with the CAB buying them sleeping bags.
They would really appreciate any help with getting this information out in newsletters or mailings eg church newsletters, internal emails etc to try to encourage people to be hosts . Anyone interested should contact Refugees at Home direct (see attached). Exit routes/times are covered by their training. There's a lot of info on their website if you have any other questions.
Urgent request from Trinity Safe Space
You are probably all aware that there is a significant shortage of suitable accommodation for people in Halton which is negatively impacting on newly granted refugees (as well as local people).
One of the possible solutions could be Refugees at Home so I have made contact with their CEO with the result that they have sent me the attached information for us to publicise as widely as possible. Hopefully, some people will come forward as a result of reading it.
So, please put the attached into your newsletters, internal intranets, social media, anywhere where people will read it, as soon as possible.
We desperately need rooms so that vulnerable people do not face homelessness.
