The LCR Combined Authority as Liverpool City Region has been designated by the government as a Youth Guarantee Trailblazer (YGT). This means they will be delivering a year-long programme of activities to support young people aged between 18-21 across Liverpool City Region who are not in education, employment, or training.
They want to hear from young people who live in the Liverpool City Region as they deliver the programme and so they will be convening a Youth Advisory Board (YAB).
They are specifically looking for people who meet one of the following criteria.
- Aged 18–21 and not in employment, education, or training
- Aged 18–21 and have experience with the care system
- Aged 18–25 and identify as SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) or neurodiverse
The board will be low commitment, meeting every 2 months online and is expected to begin in June of this year. Young people will be given the opportunity to share any thoughts or feedback on the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer. They may also receive invitations to some exciting additional events.
As one of the LCR Community Organisations, if you or your team work with any young people who meet the above criteria and might be interested in joining then would you be able to circulate this form to them? Microsoft Forms
Although they will look to onboard as many who express interest as possible, spaces are limited so they cannot guarantee a spot.
