Survivors Manchester is currently looking for individuals that have the passion and abilities to be part of an utterly amazing team delivering their trauma-informed therapy service in prison settings.
For the past 13 years, Survivors Manchester has provided survivor-focused therapeutic and advocacy support to male victims/survivors of sexual abuse, rape, and sexual exploitation. They have developed a three-tiered approach to services and underpin everything we do with a ‘trauma and recovery’ framework pioneered by Dr Judith Herman.
They are currently commissioned to deliver their trauma therapy services across 15 North West prisons and due to expansion, are looking for motivated and skilled practitioners to work in a fascinating, vital, and sometimes challenging environment.
You will be a qualified counsellor / psychotherapist who holds at least a Diploma in Counselling / Psychotherapy or equivalent and be registered with BACP or equivalent (preferably an accredited member). You will understand issues relating to trauma, be able to work as part of a team and feel confident working in a prison setting.
In return for your time, experience, and commitment to the organisation, you will receive an annual salary of £27,000 (rising to a max of £30,000); 25 days annual leave (increasing annually by 1 day to max of 30 days) plus bank holidays; birthday leave; company sick pay; monthly clinical supervision; pension contribution; and a range of benefits and training opportunities.
If this is a role that you think you could achieve great things in, then they want to hear from you.
Closing Date: Monday 19 September at 12:00pm.
