Trauma Informed Awareness Training

Free to anyone who supports children or adults in Merseyside.

Next Cohort dates:

Monday 13th November – 4th December

·       10-12pm St Helens Fire station, or

·       1-3pm St Helens Fire station

Merseyside Violence Reduction partnership are delivering a series of 4 Trauma Informed Awareness sessions for Public Services. These sessions are designed to develop and empower staff to meet the needs of the community and embed the 6 Trauma Informed Core Principles in settings.

6 Trauma Informed Core Principles:

  • Understanding Trauma and Stress
  • Compassion and Dependability
  • Cultural Humility and Responsiveness
  • Safety and Stability
  • Collaboration and Empowerment
  • Resilience and Recovery

This training incorporates the Neuroscience of how we learn, which is why it is over a series of dates.

The training will be delivered over 4 (2hr ) sessions at Merseyside Fire & Rescue Stations throughout Merseyside.

This means you will need to complete 2hrs per week for 4 weeks consecutively.
