Have Your Say On The Local Transport Plan
The Local Transport Plan will outline how the Combined Authority will invest in public transport, roads and walking and cycling networks in Liverpool City Region up to 2040.
It sets out how they will invest in public transport and the road and walking and cycling networks in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral to create a transport network that gives people more choices, is tough in the face of climate change, and helps us all to lead healthier and happier lives.Bus Reform – Have Your Say About St Helens Public Transport
In October the Metro Mayor announced the LCRCA would be taking back control of bus services across our area. They are now about to start the engagement on franchising the bus network across our region. St Helens will be the first area for this with the rest of Liverpool City Region to follow and become part of the scheme at the same time; however, bus service contracts and engagement will be rolled out across the region from 2025-2026.
Liverpool and Manchester Community Rail Partnership
It is hoped to establish a Community Rail Partnership (CRP) for the Railway lines connecting Liverpool and Manchester, (see attached Route Map).
CRP's are all about communities so at this early stage we are trying to make contact with ordinary local people who care about their communities and who are interested in trying to improve the impact that the railway has on their local community.
The proposed CRP covers the following stations which fall within the boundaries of the St Helens and Halton Local Authorities:
