As temperatures begin to drop, Halton & St Helens VCA is encouraging residents to make use of a series of Pick a Coat events taking place across Halton as part of the Winter Coat Project 2026.
Delivered in partnership with Care UK Charity, the project helps ensure that local people can access warm winter clothing while also supporting sustainability by reusing good-quality, pre-loved coats that might otherwise go to waste.
Anyone who needs a winter coat is welcome to attend one of the free community events and choose a coat for themselves or their family.
