Personal Assistant For Children Up To The Age Of 17

By working together with Halton borough Council, the Disabled Children's Service and the Direct Payments Team, PFC are looking to recruit Personal Assistant's (on behalf of families) for children up to the age of 17 years who may have learning difficulties/disabilities. Any successful candidate with be directly employed by the family.

 

A personal assistant works directly with one or more individuals, to support them with various aspects of their daily life so that they can live it in a way they choose.

You will be employed directly by the family of the person who needs care and support.

Daily tasks could include help with communication, physical tasks and facilitating activities. (to be agreed with family)

Experience with young children desirable. Previous work with disabilities an advantage but neither are necessary as additional training will be provided.

 

Successful applicant will need a full enhanced DBS check (provided).

Training will be given in areas such as if required:

  • Safeguarding
  • Health & Safety
  • Equal Opportunities
  • Manual Handling
  • Paediatric First Aid

Hours to be agreed dependant of needs and requirements of the client and your availability. Mainly out of school hours and weekends required.

 

As a personal assistant you’re likely to be involved in many aspects of your employer’s life, and may be asked to provide support in the home, at leisure or at work. Hours per week could be from 1 hour – full time

Driver preferred but not essential

Wage will be £10.42 per hour worked
