NHS Cheshire & Merseyside
A new report sets out NHS Cheshire and Merseyside’s plan for improving access and making it easier and simpler for patients to access the care they need, and supporting GP practices to manage demand and capacity through a range of additional measures. In 2023/24 this will be supported by a total of £90 million investment in primary care general practice and related measures contained in the plan.
There are a total of 349 GP practices across Cheshire and Merseyside, covering a population of 2.7 million people.
Doctors across Cheshire and Merseyside are encouraging patients to make the most of the options available to them when managing their outpatient appointments.
Figures for 2022 show that there were over 4.5 million outpatient appointments across Cheshire and Merseyside, with more than 400,000 of those being missed.
This event is for Self-Advocates, Families and colleagues from Health and Social Care, Providers and Commissioning Services from across Cheshire/ Merseyside and will be free to attend.
