We want to make it as easy as possible for members to share news, events, opportunities and information with the VCFSE community across Halton and St Helens.
Weβre therefore introducing a new, streamlined process for submitting content for the Halton and St Helens VCA website and fortnightly e-bulletin.
π§ Where to send your content
From now on, please send all website news, events and e-bulletin submissions to:
Having one central email address will help us manage submissions more effectively, plan upcoming content and make sure opportunities and important information reach our audiences.
π° Our fortnightly e-bulletin
The VCA e-bulletin will continue to be published fortnightly, bringing together the latest news, events, funding opportunities, training, vacancies and other useful information from across the VCFSE sector.
The schedule is:
β° Submission deadline: 5pm Monday
π© E-bulletin published: Wednesday
We'll send reminders ahead of each deadline to help you get your content to us in plenty of time.
Please note that while we will always do our best to accommodate late submissions, we cannot guarantee that content received after the deadline will appear in that week's e-bulletin.
π What can you submit?
We welcome a wide range of content, including:
- News and project updates
- Events and activities
- Funding opportunities
- Job vacancies
- Training and workshops
- Consultations
- Campaigns and initiatives
- Volunteering opportunities
- Community activities
- Announcements and updates
- Information that may be useful to VCFSE organisations and communities
Content submitted for the website may also be considered for inclusion in our e-bulletin and social media channels where appropriate.
πΈ Please give us as much information as possible
When submitting content, please provide as much information as you can. This helps us turn your submission into engaging and informative content and reduces the need to come back to you for additional details.
Where relevant, please include:
- A clear description of the news, event or opportunity
- Who it is for
- Dates and times
- Venue or location
- Costs
- Eligibility information
- Booking or application details
- Contact information
- Relevant website and booking links
- Application deadlines
- Any supporting documents
- Good-quality photographs or images
- Logos, posters or other promotional materials
If you have photographs to accompany your submission, please send them with your content. Images can make a real difference in helping your story stand out online and in the e-bulletin.
Please ensure you have the appropriate permission to share photographs, particularly where individuals are identifiable.
βοΈ Don't worry if you don't have polished copy
If you already have a finished article or promotional copy, please send it to us.
If you don't, that's fine too. Simply provide the key information and we'll work with what you send us to create suitable content for the website and e-bulletin.
The more information, images and links you can provide, the better we can showcase your work and help it reach the right people.
π€ Help us share the great work happening across Halton and St Helens
Our website and e-bulletin are important ways of connecting organisations, partners, communities and individuals with the opportunities, support and activity taking place across the area.
By sharing your news and opportunities with us, you can help us shine a light on the fantastic work happening across the local VCFSE sector.
Send your submissions to: news@haltonsthelensvca.org.uk
We look forward to hearing from you and sharing your news!
